Macroplant Press Release:
[UPDATED] October 6, 2011 Subsequent to us complying with all of Apple Inc.'s initial name and logo change requests, they added an additional request that we remove the term "Pod" from Pod to PC & Pod to Mac. As such, we have now renamed these programs to Phone to PC & Phone to Mac. High resolutions images of all of the new logos are available on our press page.
September 22, 2011 One of the most important goals when designing a logo or coming up with a product name is often to convey the functionality of the program. Given the purpose and features of our various programs, using an iPhone in some of our icon designs seemed appropriate when we first made the icons. However, it has recently been brought to our attention that some of our logos and product names may now have inadvertently crossed a line into an area that may violate Apple, Inc.'s trademarks and/or copyrights. In order to comply with the guidelines on Apple's website we have updated the various logos and product names as follows: 1. iPhone Explorer explorer has been renamed iExplorer. 2. The icon for what is now called iExplorer (formerly iPhone Explorer) has been updated to resemble a generic smart phone.
[UPDATED] 3. Pod to Mac & Pod to PC have been renamed respectively to Phone to Mac & Phone to PC. 4. The Phone to PC & Phone to Mac Logo have been updated to resemble a generic smart phone.
5. The Phone Disk icon has been updated to resemble a generic smart phone.
6. meta-iPod's name has been changed to meta-Tunes. 7. The icon for what is now meta-Tunes (formerly meta-iPod), has been updated.
