Introduction

iExplorer, and all other apps created by Macroplant, are distributed using very clean, single purpose, installers so they won't gunk up your computer.

All Macroplant apps are guarenteed to install spam-free with no toolbars, no spyware and no viruses. If for any reason, you decide that you don't want to keep iExplorer on your computer, you can completely remove it within a matter of seconds by following the instructions below.

What you will need

  • iExplorer
  • An iPhone, iPad, or iPod
  • USB cable to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
  • A Mac or PC with iTunes installed

Before you begin

If you don't already have iExplorer installed download it by clicking the button below. For more detailed installation instructions, click here.

To remove iExplorer from your Mac, simply open your applications folder, locate iExplorer and drag it to the trash. That's it - you're done

## Uninstalling OS X Fuse

OS X Fuse is a component installed with iExplorer when you first mount a directory on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. To uninstall it, open up System Preferences. Click on the FUSE for OS X icon.

Then click Remove OSXFUSE. That's it! You're done.

You can quickly and easily remove iExplorer from your Windows PC by either locating the "Uninstall iExplorer" program in your start menu or by launching the Windows Control Panel, then selecting "Uninstall a Program" and then selecting iExplorer.

For most users of iExplorer, the prerequisites of both iTunes and QuickTime are already installed. If they weren't previously installed, iExplorer may have installed them with the iExplorer installation package. If you want to remove these programs from your computer, follow the instructions found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
